Nach vielen Spekulationen und Gerüchten über die Zukunft der Elektronikmesse E3, hat die ESA (Entertainment Software Association) nun offiziell bestätigt, dass diese auch wieder im Jahr 2009 stattfinden wird. Vom 2. bis zum 4. Juni 2009 findet die E3 im Los Angeles Convention Centre statt. Die ESA begrüßt alle internationalen Spielehersteller, Medienpartner und Publisher auf der E3 2009, die neusten Entwicklungen vorzustellen. Passend dazu sagt der ESA CEO, Michael D. Gallagher, folgendes:
"Video games are the fastest growing and most compelling sector of the entertainment industry. And, this upgraded event will reflect the growth, innovation and excitement of our industry. The breadth, scope and quality of the changes made to the show will make E3 the must-attend event of the year."
