Electronic Arts hat heute bekannt gegeben, dass das Download Pack Dead Space 2: Severed am 01.03.11 auf dem Xbox Live Marktplatz erscheinen wird. Das Pack soll die Handlung von Dead Space 2 um zwei neue Kapitel in der Solo-Kampagne erweitern. Im neuen DLC erlebt der Spieler die Geschichte von Gabe Weller (Dead Space Extraction). Gabe Weller trägt unter anderem stark verbesserte Pulse Rifle Waffen und ein "Security Outfit". In Severed kehrt auch das Twitcher-Monster aus dem Original Dead Space zurück. Das alles bekommt ihr für 560 Microsoft-Points.
