Uplay beta FAQ
What is Uplay?
Uplay is a set of services that give players extra value for their Ubisoft games.
With Uplay Win, you earn Units by performing specific Actions in Uplay enabled games. Those Units can be redeemed for Rewards or saved for better Rewards later, across all Uplay enabled games and across all associated platforms (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC). Basically, the more you play, the more you win exclusive free content for your favorite games.
Uplay Help will give you guidance and tips to enjoy Ubisoft games at their best. Imagine being helped by the developers themselves and by other players or even helping other players yourself.
Uplay Share will allow you to create content from within the games and share it with your friends and the rest of the community, be it statistics, pictures, videos or even in-game content such as maps.
Uplay Shop will be your destination to browse and buy additional content for your favorite Ubisoft games.
What are Actions and Rewards?
Each Uplay enabled game features 4 Actions and 4 Rewards. Actions are linked to 4 specific Xbox 360 achievements or PlayStation 3 Trophies. When you unlock such achievements/trophies, you also complete the Action and receive the associated number of Units. Then you to decide which Reward you want to unlock or if you want to save your Units for later.
Actions are the same across all platforms - but completing an action on Xbox 360 doesn't mean you have completed the action on PlayStation 3 as well.
The same applies for rewards. Redeeming a reward on Xbox 360 doesn't mean you have redeemed that reward on PlayStation 3 as well.
What are Units?
Units are like points or tokens, which you earn by successfully completing Actions in Uplay enabled games. Once earned, you can use your Units to claim exclusive, free Rewards from any of the Uplay enabled games, on any platform. It won't take long - Rewards can be redeemed for as few as 10 Units. The bigger the Reward, the more Units you need.
How do I register for Uplay?
You can register for Uplay in either any Uplay enabled game or on www.uplay.com.
Members of Ubisoft do not need to register again for Uplay. They can directly log in to Uplay and use their existing account information.
Who is Uplay for?
Uplay is for everyone! There are no restrictions as to who can access it or register to it, except that Uplay really makes sense when you play a Uplay enabled game. This is how you can access its full potential.
Where can I access Uplay?
Uplay is accessible from www.uplay.com or from any Uplay enabled game. In the main menu of such a game, press the indicated button associated with Uplay to access it.
Do I have to pay to get access and beneficiate from Uplay?
Uplay is a free set of services provided by Ubisoft for its customers. Registering and using its services is entirely free. Note that Uplay Shop gives you access to both free and paying content.
Why is Uplay in a beta stage?
In its primary form, Uplay gives access to the Uplay Win service and the member Profile. Later on, new services and features will be added: Uplay Help, Uplay Share, Uplay Shop, a Friends list and other functionalities that will improve the gaming experience as a whole.
How do I know if a game is Uplay enabled?
All Uplay enabled games have a specific logo at the back of their box. Assassin's Creed II will introduce worldwide the Uplay program on November 17th (US), November 19th (EMEA), November 20th (UK). Splinter Cell Conviction and more games will follow up in the upcoming months.
Can I link my Ubisoft Account to more than 1 Xbox / PSN account and vice versa?
You can only have 1 PSN account and 1 Xbox Live account linked to 1 Ubi account at a time.
If you have already linked your Ubisoft account to an Xbox Live or a PSN account and you wish to link it to a new Xbox Live or a PSN account, you can do the following:
1. Launch your Uplay enabled game and sign into your new Xbox Live / PSN account
2. Launch Uplay
3. In the authentication menu, enter the username & password of your Ubisoft account
4. You have linked your new Xbox Live / PSN account to your Ubisoft account!
Since Actions and Rewards are attached to your Ubisoft account, you won't lose them in the process.

Wahrscheinlich muss Ubisoft dafür Geld an MS zahlen.
