Ein großes Aushängeschild für Microsoft, viel Werbung, viel Aufwand und dann jetzt doch das große Aus. Nachdem Microsoft bekanntgab, dass Press Play Studios und Lionhead Studios geschlossen werden (wir berichteten), haben sich die Entwickler von Fable Legends nun selbst geäußert. Alle Beta-Spieler von Fable Legends wurden über den Stopp informiert: "Es wurde die Entscheidung getroffen, die Entwicklung von Fable Legends zu stoppen." In der Kürze liegt die Würze, dachte man sich, doch ist wohl die Kürze des Statements wohl eher ein Ausdruck von Enttäuschung möchte man meinen. Die Closed Beta wird weiterhin bis zum 13. April 2016 spielbar sein, danach ist komplettes Aus. Alle Beta-Spieler, die echtes Geld investiert haben (Mikro-Transaktionen) bekommen eine komplette Rückerstattung.

"The decision has been made to stop development on Fable Legends, and the service will cease to be available after 15:00 GMT on Wednesday 13 April 2016. Players who already have access to the closed beta will be able to continue playing the game until this time. Gold purchases from the in-game bank will be disabled with immediate effect.
We will be providing all players who purchased gold a full refund. Players who are eligible for a refund will be provided further information by email within the next 7 days.
We want to thank all the players who participated in the closed beta and who helped with the development of Fable Legends.
